- A student eager to understand me, you, us, and mankind through the Culture related to humanity inseparably. Having obtained a Master’s degree in Cultural Anthropology from Kangwon National University, with a dissertation titled 'The Funeral Practices and Meaning for the Unclaimed Dead,' I am now studying the ways of dealing with corpses and their underlying implications within the industrialized folk funeral systems of contemporary South Korean society.

- I graduated from Dongguk University with a degree in Film and Art, and I earned a master's degree from University of Seoul in Urban Sociology. I authored a thesis titled 『“Why Can't I Stay Hometown?”: Life planning and identity of provincial female youth』 for my master's degree. Currently, my research focuses on Korean middle-aged women, rural women, elder care, kinship, and intimacy.

My undergraduate major is math, but I was also interested in social science.
For my undergraduate thesis, I used cooperative game theory underpinned by graph theory to prove the existence of a Nash equilibrium under diversification of slogans in the '18 impeachment protests. It was a very logic-positivist piece of work, but it was a personal effort to engage in dialogue with my apolitical science acquaintances.
Later, I went to graduate school in economics with the idea of studying mathematical social sciences, but during my research I realized that my interests were different and switched to a master's degree. My master's thesis is on CBDC policy, critically analyzing generalized mathematical models of the neo-monetarist school.
My research interests include : Economic anthropology and financial anthropology.

Previously a filmmaker herself who worked in the commercial/independent film industry for five years, Sujie Kim served as a Program Director of Mediact—the first media center established in South Korea from 2015 till 2019 and participated in various community based arts projects since 2020. Currently she is a PhD Student in Anthropology at Seoul National University.

- I studied Chinese minority languages and literature at the Southwest Minzu University of China and completed my bachelor's degree. The master's course was conducted by the Department of Anthropology at Seoul National University, and I was interested in minority religion and folklore in southwest China, so I wrote a master's thesis under "Changes in the Suni Ritual of the Yi People of Sichuan Province, China." I am interested in Chinese minority religion, folklore, modernization, secularization, and desecularization.

- Sugyeong Son is currently a PhD Student in Anthropology at Seoul National University. She graduated from University of British Columbia with B.A. (2020), and received her M.A. (2022) in Chinese Area Studies from Graduate School of International Studies at Seoul National University. Her M.A. thesis is “Women’s Rights Movement in China: Focusing on the New Generation of ‘Young Feminists’ since 2012 (중국의 여권신장운동에 관한 연구: 2012년 이후 새로운 ‘영 페미니스트’ 세대를 중심으로).” Her research interests include feminism, feminists, and young generation in both South Korea and China.

- Mihye Kim majored in Visual Communication Design and Design History and Cultural Studies. She worked as a researcher at national and public museums and research institutes. Her research interests are folklore and museology, anthropology of art, East Asian visual culture, history, and memory of the division of the Korean Peninsula.

- Joo Dokyung majored Asian history and Anthropology at Seoul National University, and received her mater’s degree in Anthropology at Seoul National University. Her master’s thesis is about the reappropriation and traditionality of Hanbok, Korean traditional clothing. She worked as a researcher at Seoul National University Museum. - I graduated from Yonsei University with a business degree and earned a master's degree from the Department of Anthropology at Seoul National University. I am currently working on a Ph.D. program. After graduating from the undergraduate, I obtained the AICPA certificate and worked at the Finance department of Hyundai E & C. Now, I am studying the evolution of human mind and behavior at Seoul National University’s Bio Anthropology Laboratory. I received a master’s degree from the anthropology department of Seoul National University for his thesis titled “Punishment as a Costly Signal”, and is currently working on the co-evolution process of human collective cooperation and punishment.

- Elisa Romero Moreno received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the Department of History and Social Anthropology at Universidad Autonoma de Madrid. After coming to Korea, she started studying on the domestic adoption in Korea, at the Academy of Korean Studies. Currently working on her doctoral course at Seoul National University, she focuses mainly on Korean family and kinship system, along with domestic adoption.

- Lee Dojung studied public administration at Kyunghee University, received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in anthropology at Seoul National University, and currently is on his doctoral course at the same department. He is studying on how death awareness is changing in Korean society and how it relates to social change in Korea. In particular, he concentrates on how the Korean village community is related to these changes, and how the family, kinship system, and family organizations are responding during the process.

And also participated in many academic activities during my undergraduate years focusing on the subject of “unification" and “peace" on the Korean Peninsula, while endured much of my external activities related to "culture promotion" and “tourism."
Entering the master's course in Dept. of Anthropology at Seoul National University from 2019. I interested in ‘Educational anthropology’ and ‘Youth problem’, also including ‘inequality’ and ‘caste differentiation’ issues of relationships between power and culture. Simultaneously, concerned with “the study of the self” as a whole.
Based on my transnational experience, I would like to explore how young people and social underdogs can lead a better life based on the uncomfortable views which I felt as a foreigner, and the difficulties I experienced as a young people in South Korea. I would also like to contribute to solving social problems by conducting research activities with a mindset to observe the social phenomena that appear not only in detail but also in the spirit of love and sharing for the members of society in which people belong.
